Update: I'm not in a happy mood with Apple. I have a system wide failure all because I updated to Mavericks and I'm not alone. For some idiotic reason the upgrade damage my S.M.A.R.T status and now it's failing, new drive too. Been looking into this and many others are in the same boat. Applecare is nice to have but: Its the pain of dropping it off and waiting, redoing everything that sucks. I was told they will put Mavericks on for me,but the install of my VM and Windows +BF42 and BF2 sucks. All I got was a "sorry for any inconvenience" So lame, well it is what it is, what can you do huh? I'm down for a while, sry. Yes, the drive can't be backup, total failure:( Glad I have a iPad for a S.O.S lol
