It's completely bonkers that things have done and continue to go the way of Verhoeven's "Robocop". We all hope for some sort of rein on the excess, but there appear to be more corporate hopefuls in government than out these days. Our own Labour party gives our Conservatives hell over their suspicious "members' interests", but they're quick to forget their own masters in the Unions which are now corporations in themselves, with the leaders awarding themselves five-figure pay rises whenever they like. I often wonder if something's about to go terribly wrong very soon, and nobody wants to admit it in case someone decides to ask what the money's for.
