As much as I love BG42, and wish it was running full time, BF42 will remain a requirement and prerequsite for any mod based on said engine. So by extension of this logic, if we run BG or any other BF42 based mod full time, I think we essentially disconnect ourselves from any possible new-to-BF42 players, Many of whom when queried don't even know there is such a thing as BG. How taxing is it for the server to keep BF42 running during peek usage by players not from the western hemisphere? Say, BF42 runs from 5:00 A.M. to 2:00 PM Pacific time, the rest of the daylight hours given to BG42?

Bottom line:I think we still need to advertise BG42, BF42 still apears to be far busier than BG42 so far. But I'm game for more BG air-time, for sure. And hey, theres other mods guys..why cant we rotate through a bunch of em? DC final for its intoxicating hand weapons/ explosion dynamics and fantastic sound..Pirates for the goofy/Jackass Friday night thing..Or how about two week rotations of FH, DC, Merciless, 1918 final, etc. etc..

If all else fails heres the sure fire way to keep BF42 entertaining for the easily bored: change the map rotations regularlly, and change the mods within the same way. No more getting used to any particular exploit, because we juggled the ship positions a little, Shuffled what planes are on the field, or where said weapons spawn, etc. Just enough to add some unpredictability. I have slight mod ideas all the time, as im sure many others do as well..For exapmle, i was playing Tobruk tonight, and myself and another player were pretty much bombing axis main back to the stone age. I thought, wheres their AA, or why didnt we give them Flakpanzers to defend themselves with? There wouldn't be any more easy owning of the reds when there's three plus Allied humans in game...

Darkryda and I continue to tweek existinglly modded BF42maps, and every now and then screen them to some of our more frequent attendies, all of whom express great interest in the latest changes, like the present Wake, but now with subs, battleships and Illyushin added, as well as ship locations shuffled a little.

So for those of you reading this, feedback please. for those that have mod ideas of any kind, ex: "i wish there was a Jeep at such and such flag in El Alamein" Submit them to an admin, we will write it down, and definatelly try it out.., and submit it, or you can yourself, here at JDRgaming. lets keep it new and exciting!

As long as TPU is alive and well, I'll take what i can get, but lets not be too hasty in killing bf42 please!
