I suggest you learn the basics of modding BF42 first and then move on. Finding problems with the B17 object data would be a large and difficult task and you would need to know all about the various data structures. I don't even know that stuff and would have to do a bunch of research first. I'm working on putting Ryda's modding notes on the web site which, along with the stuff I already posted, should be a good intro for you.
