Windows is throwing BSODs all over the place on Hubie, the PC that hosts TPU. I'm looking into it. Until I can fix the problem or migrate TPU to another PC, TPU is down.

Update #1: Looks like it's bad RAM. If I can get replacement RAM for not too much money, I'll do that. Otherwise, I'll be buying new server hardware. Meanwhile, why not try the TPU BF2 server?

Update #2: Hubie (the computer that TPU ran on since day one) is deceased. The motherboard has a row of bad capacitors. Maybe they've been flaky for a while, which might explain some of the BF1942 server crashes. Anyway, rest in peace, little buddy. I'm ordering new server hardware.

Update #3: Server hardware has arrived. I hope to have the server built and TPU back up and running some time tomorrow (March 6th).

BF2 FH is pretty sweet. I would like to encourage players to get BF2 and give it a shot. BF2 FH is very challenging and who is up for a good challenge? By what I seen last night, BF FH offer some way cool graphics and the sound is amazing. So give it a shot, take look at it and see for yourself. What better way to play than to have good old fashioned team work? As for myself, you may find me on [TPU]BF more than bf42.

On another impressive take on BF2 FH: It keeps that familiar action to the game in regards to BF42 FH "some vehicles have multiple stations for having more than 3 players in them". That's actually awesome when you have a few of your buddies with you. Also, bots will call out radio commands.

The BF2 engine improves on the BF42 engine in almost every way. FH2 brings WWI to the BF2 engine big time, with a level of realism that blows the doors off BF42, especially in terms of the sounds. Individual weapons actually sound different from one another, for instance.

With the stress of years running the server and the recent Windows 7 upgrade, could that also have stressed the system out? From 2007 to 2013- He hung in there didn't he? Will you resurrect the name on the next system or retire Hubie for good?

Actually, Hubie was still running Windows XP, but it has been running almost constantly for about five years. I'll be retiring the name. The new server will be designated Foghorn.
