I was curious about something a player said and it got me wondering about it. TPU has always been a 100% coop server (except when it?s a DarkRyda day) Anyway, a player wanted to know if TPU will ever have a CTF in its rotation? I told him I don?t know and that I would bring it here. However, do you think this request from a player is enough to start a poll? Should wait huh? I on the other hand have never been crazy about CTF.

Other than the occasional DR day, I don't think I want to get into non-coop modes on TPU. It's just not what the server is about. Besides, I don't really think CTF in BF42 is all that great. If I want to play CTF, it's Unreal Tournament for me. That's another server I was thinking about running, by the way: Unreal Tournament 3 (coop vs. bots).

Hey, I'm down for that! If you do decide to do it: What needs to happen to get her going?

Find out if there's UT3 Linux server software; install and test it. Determine the best way to manage the server and set up any required tools. Decide which modes and maps to run. Decide how many bots to configure. Add server monitoring to jdrgaming.com and GameTracker. Create other web resources for the new server. Announce the new server.

Well if everything does goes smoothly and you decide to do this in the future, I could do a little advertising if thats okay? The Unreal Tournament 3 (coop vs. bots) does sounds awesome. I never thought about it like that and I?ve never been a fan of CFT, but I bet this would come out being popular, who knows?

I'm still just in the 'thinking about it' phase, but I'll let you know. Volunteer promotional work is always appreciated!

Are you currently able to play UT3? Have you ever played it in a coop mode?

No, but before coming to TPU I played on a few servers that had CTF in their rotation and hated it (mainly because of pvp). But by what you are describing sounds interesting.
